MultiHaul T280 60GHz Terragraph Terminal Unit - MH-T280-CCP-POE

Long Range Options in Terragraph deployments

Siklu has recently unveiled their 3rd generation point to multipoint 60GHz products, which include the MultiHaul[tm] TG system. This system has received Terragraph certification and is designed to operate through Nodes utilizing millimeter waves in a redundant mesh topology, allowing for connections to Terminal Units (TU). The T280, a long-range TG TU, is also part of this network solution and is compatible with the N366 in PtMP mode to serve locations at further distances. Additionally, the T280 can operate in PtP mode, with two identical units on each site, enabling even longer distances to be covered. With up to 3 ports, both copper and fibre interfaces, and a PoE out to power any third-party device, the T280 offers flexibility and functionality.

Long Distance and High Capacity

The T280 offers unique deployment possibilities for 60GHz radios due to its impressive Terragraph link capacity. With a selection of 0.5ft, 1ft, or 2ft antennas available, it allows for choosing the ideal solution for long distance links that may present challenges. Furthermore, its compact streamlined reflector antenna makes it easy to install on rooftop or street furniture.

Flexibility for Demanding Applications

The MultiHaul[tm] TG LR Terminal Units function over the millimetre wave spectrum, using a variety of reflector antennas. This provides a number of benefits, such as the ability to achieve multi-gigabit capacity in crowded environments. The Terminal Units are equipped with three ports, allowing for RJ-45 connections up to 5GE or fibre connections up to 10Gbps, enabling the delivery of a wide range of services and interfaces to accommodate even the most demanding applications.

Always-On Mission Critical Networks

In situations where it is imperative to maintain a video stream, critical safe city sensor data, or any other mission-critical information, it is necessary to have a wireless network that is as secure and dependable as fibre. The MultiHaul[tm] TG provides this assurance, offering maximal resistance to interference and hacker-proof links with built-in AES encryption, providing a network that is trustworthy and secure. Moreover, the mesh topology ensures that in case of an outage in a given link, there are backup paths for traffic, providing redundancy and preventing data loss.

Simple Integrated Future-safe Terminal Unit

Organisations require wireless infrastructure that is uncomplicated and designed to withstand the test of time. They need to be able to deploy a single box across the intended area rapidly, confident that they can fulfill the interface requirements of any application. The T280 Unit provides this assurance with its built-in software configured Ethernet switch, PoE out feature up to 65W for collocated CPEs, cameras, or other devices, and fibre termination capabilities. This versatile unit is capable of addressing a diverse range of applications.

Fibre Quality with Wireless Flexibility

Siklu's millimetre wave radios are renowned for their ability to offer the capacity of fibre coupled with the agility, rapid deployment, and low total cost of ownership of wireless networks. This is what has made them the top-selling millimetre wave radios worldwide every year since 2011. Their robust performance can be counted on, even in extremely crowded networks or harsh weather conditions, as evidenced by their successful use in thousands of networks worldwide.

Highly Secure and Physically Immune Beams

The narrow beamwidth of our wireless system offers numerous benefits, including enhanced immunity to interference and network jamming. This stands in stark contrast to wide-beam wireless systems, which must rely on multiple strategies to function properly in crowded areas. Our system can connect multiple subscribers and services while providing complete isolation based on physical port, VLAN ID, and/or a Terminal Unit (in PtMP mode).
